The Piano Brothers

Cora Bell (Fluker) Clowers was born January 30, 1933 in Coffeeville, Alabama to the union of Easter (Hall) and Arthur Fluker. She was one of twelve children born to the couple.  She disliked her middle name and changed it to Mae. She left this life to sit at the right hand of God on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the age of 84 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was raised and educated at Clark County Training School in Coffeeville, Alabama. She went on to college; where she met and married Robert Emory Clowers in Tupelo, Mississippi. With her spouse being from Georgia they resided there for many years. They relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana, where they raised their family and made their home. Cora’s love for Fort Wayne brought her many years of happiness with her brother Jimmie Fluker, her constant companion.

Cora was employed by the VA Medical Center and retired after many years of dedicated service. She retired with numerous awards and accolades. She attained many friends and colleagues.

She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Robert Clowers, Jr. of Merrifield, VA, Michael Clowers of Fort Wayne, IN and Gregory Clowers of Cincinnati, OH; four daughters, Doris Clowers of Fort Wayne, IN, Cynthia Clowers of Indianapolis, IN, Rochelle Clowers of Missouri and Angela Clowers of Indianapolis, IN; three brothers, Jimmie (Ruth) Fluker, Walter Fluker and Earl (Ollie) Fluker; two sisters, Dr. Edwina (Tony) Autrey and Henrietta Witt; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Many, many friends and acquaintances adorn her crown; she will now send her greeting cards from heaven. She leaves this life a ready, happy and free spirit. She will live in our hearts forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Clowers, Sr.; parents, Arthur and Easter Fluker; brothers, Roosevelt Fluker, Eddie Fluker, MacHenry Fluker and Arthur Fluker, Jr.; sisters, Ethel Turner and Mary Ella Beasley; and half-sister, Jessie Chapman.
