Dorothy Jean (Moore) LoganJuly 1, 1938 ~ September 8, 2017 (age 79)
Dorothy Jean Logan was born July 1, 1938 to Ethel Lee (Lucy) and Ulysses S. Moore, Sr. in Birmingham, Alabama. She was the oldest of five children.
She was employed by Fort Wayne State Developmental Center as a supervisor and retired after many years of dedicated service. She was a member of Greater Progressive Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Anthony R. Pettus, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Wesley (Joy) Alexander of Bernville, PA and Vincent (Gail) Alexander, Sr. of Indianapolis, IN; three daughters, Cassandra (Harrison III) Courtney of Clarksville, TN, Sheila Alexander and Shantel (Herschell) Franklin both of Fort Wayne; one brother, Winston Moore of Indianapolis, IN; one sister, Betty (Ronald) Pole of Los Angeles, CA; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses and Ethel Moore, Sr.; one grandson, Vincent J. Alexander II; two brothers, Ulysses S. Moore Jr and Clyde T. Moore.
