Edna Louise (Washington) EllisDecember 23, 1940 ~ May 30, 2017 (age 76)
Edna Louise (Washington) Ellis, 76, was born on December 23, 1940 in West Point, Mississippi to the late Dad Washington and Katie Douglas. She transitioned to be with the Lord on May 30, 2017 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She graduated from Fifth Street High School. She was united in holy matrimony to Morris Ellis.
Edna attended Wings of Deliverance Tabernacle Holiness Church, where she served as an ordained Missionary, Mother, and Psalmist. She retired as a facilitator at Fort Wayne State Developmental Center. She excelled as a National Marketing Director for Total Life Changes. She loved giving - cheerfully. She was known as an Extreme “Couponer” with her husband, Morris. She enjoyed living a godly life as she ministered to many.
Surviving to cherish her memories; her sons, Kelvin (Suzanne) Washington, Phillip (Annie) Birchfield, Ron Birchfield, Julian (Angela) Ellis, all of Fort Wayne, IN, Quincy (Margo) Ellis of Des Moines, IA, Reginald (Sonya) Ellis of Birmingham, AL; her daughters, Sylvia Ellis and Valarie (Steve) Baxter, all of Birmingham, AL; her siblings Jo Willie Lee, Earlie Douglas, Archie Ellis, Jr., Frank Ellis, Lucille Rogers, all of Fort Wayne, IN; Henry Douglas, Birtyce Cooperwood, Phyllis Douglas, all of West Point, MS; Wilma Gray of Birmingham, AL; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Joe Douglas; her siblings, Herman Douglas, Squire Douglas, Ernest Douglas, Katie Bailey, and Joseph Ellis.
