Effie Mae (Gray) DouglasOctober 17, 1937 ~ March 31, 2017 (age 79)
Effie Mae Douglas was born October 17, 1937 to Leola (Bridges) and Joe Gray in Jackson, Tennessee. She departed this earthly life on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Parkview Hospital.
She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. She attended Southern Heights Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Otha Aden. She was employed by Lutheran Hospital and retired after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.
Effie leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Aubrey Douglas; seven sons, Charles Gray, Larry Gray, Donald (Costella) Gray, Victor Gray, Phillip (Stephanie) Douglas, Timothy (Carolyn) Gray and Tyrone Douglas; two daughters, Annie Gray and Phyllis Douglas; six brothers, George (Ruth Ann) Gray, Willie (Connie) Gray, Jerry (Rita) Gray, Howard (Dean) Gray, Frank (Alice) Gray and Pat (Loretta) Gray, Jr.; four sisters, Julia Ann Gray, Dorothy (Dennis) McHaney, Sheryl Gray and Lilly Gray; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Leola Gray; brothers, Jimmy Gray, Wyde Edwards, Sr., James Gray, Otha Gray and Eddie Gray; sister, Brenda Gray.
Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
