Gloria Jean (Franklin) WilliamsJune 8, 1943 ~ May 27, 2017 (age 73)
Gloria Jean (Franklin) Williams, transitioned from her earthly home and received her wings on Saturday, May, 27, 2017 at The Waters of New Castle, Indiana.
Gloria was born on June 8, 1943 to the late Elvin and Elmore (Fogle) Franklin. She was educated through the Louisiana School System and was a graduate in the class of 1961. Gloria confessed Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church in Cullen, Louisiana under the leadership of Rev. A.W. Grant. On September 3, 1986 she was joined in holy matrimony to Hollis Williams and shortly after moved to Muncie, Indiana. He preceded her in death in 2006.
She was a licensed cosmetologist and worked at Rhinehart's Barber & Beauty until her retirement in 2014. While in Muncie, Gloria was active in several churches before uniting with Cathedral of Praise. At Cathedral she was a member of the mother's board, intercessory prayer ministry and in 2013 she became an ordained missionary under the guidance of Bishop Adrian H. LeaVell.
Gloria leaves to mourn her loss, but cherish her memories one brother, Elvin Franklin, Jr. (Ann M.), Houston Texas; special friends, Lisa Collier and Yvette Livers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by siblings, Sherman Colbert, Edgar Colbert, Samuel Franklin and Clinton Morris.
Burial in Marion National Cemetery
