Joyce Ann “Gram” (Gary) JacksonApril 7, 1939 ~ December 26, 2017 (age 78)
Joyce Ann Jackson was born on April 7, 1939 to Mary Gary and Daniel Boggus in Middletown, Ohio. Her family was by her side as she earned her wings and transitioned to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 as a result of an extended illness. She was a native of Middletown, Ohio.
Joyce was united in holy matrimony to Harold T. Jackson and to this union six children were born. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. The family relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was employed with the Veterans Administration Hospital of Fort Wayne, where she remained until her retirement in the Intensive Care Unit.
“Gram” as she was affectionately called by family and was a courageous and strong woman who would offer guidance and wisdom to many. She had a loving spirit her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. They treated her with honor and respect. They knew that she always did her best.
As her “angel wings” have launched, she leaves to cherish her memories her son; Gary Jackson; daughters, Marrietta (Ron) Carter, Harriet (Richard) Reed, Geraldine Jackson, Adrienne (Mark) Harmon and Jennifer (Craig) Peterson; grandson, Kenyatta (December) Simpson; sister, Bertha Brooks; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Joyce will be met at the Heavenly Gates by her husband, Harold T. Jackson; mother, Mary Jackson and father, Daniel Boggus.
