Juanita Marie (Taylor) BrownSeptember 2, 1940 ~ September 22, 2017 (age 77)
Juanita Marie Brown was born September 2, 1940 in Brownsville, Tennessee to Lois Katherine (Mann) and Louis Taylor. She entered into heavens gates on September 22, 2017 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Juanita moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1957. She loved the Lord and dedicated her life to Christ at a young age. She was married to Joe Thomas Liggion and unto this union nine children were born. Later in life she married Napoleon Brown.
Juanita worked for Detroit Plastic Molding for several years. She also worked as a housekeeper, childcare provider and she loved to cook. Family and friends thought of her as "Sister Theresa" always giving and providing for others. Her children knew her as the neighborhood mom. always providing and pouring love into her children and everybody else's in need.
Juanita leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Henry Thomas Liggion, Jerry Liggion, Theotis Liggion, Jerome Liggion, Joseph (Adrianne) Liggion and Douglas Liggion; daughter, Martina Thomas; grandchildren that she later adopted, Karlos Washington, Robert Liggion, Charmica Lucas, Mindy Washington, Stephanie Washington and Valtina Washington; brothers, Louis E. Taylor, Lawrence T. (Catherine) Taylor and Artanner Taylor; sisters, Addie V. Davis and Minnie Sue White; 30 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, JoAnn Liggion and Minnie Liggion; parents, Louis and Lois Taylor; grandparents, Aurthur "Big Daddy" and Minnie "Big Mama" Mann; grandsons, Joshua Washington and JoQuan Liggion.
