Judith Ann (Micheaux) JohnsonMay 11, 1949 ~ July 27, 2017 (age 68)
Judith Ann “Judy” Johnson was born May 11, 1949 to the parents of Josie Lee (Bryant) and Ellis Micheaux, Sr. in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She accepted Christ at an early age at Turner Chapel AME Church and was a member of Southern Heights Baptist Church, under the leadership of former Pastor Otha Aden and new Pastor L.C. Love III.
Judith attended Fort Wayne Community Schools and graduated from Central High School. She worked for General Electric for a number of years. She was also a care giver for her mother Josie Lee Micheaux.
On June 14, 1975, she was united in holy matrimony to her loving husband, Michael T. Johnson. They were married at McKee Street Church of God by Pastor Staton. They celebrated 42 years of marriage this past June.
“Judy” as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was a very humble, generous and loving person; who enjoyed her family, children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed working with the youth at Southern Heights; as well as showing love along with her husband during caring and sharing ministry. She loved and supported her family and cared deeply about many people in her community.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and friend. She was loved dearly and will truly be missed for her love and kindness of the lives that she touched.
She departed this earthly life on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital at the age of 68.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Michael T. Johnson; sons, Michael O. (Mikita) Johnson II and Marcos Johnson; grandchildren, Sebastian Holiness, Derrick Carlisle, Damond Richter, Daylon Dixie, Demarien Smith, Michael Johnson, Jr., Dominik Johnson, Jocquavius Johnson, Julian Johnson, Mychea’la Johnson, Derricka Carlisle, Jaliyah Carlisle, Andrea Smith and Zimmya Dean-Smith; a host of great- grandchildren; nephew, Kevin Sizemore; niece, Martina McLauren; daughter-in-law, Maleika “Mickey” Carlisle; a devoted cousin, Hana Stith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Derrick D. Carlisle; parents, Ellis and Josie L. Micheaux, Sr. and brother, Ellis Micheaux, Jr,
