Linnie Louise "Tina" (Cole) JacksonMarch 30, 1950 ~ June 6, 2017 (age 67)
Linnie Louise “Tina” Jackson, was born March 30, 1950, to the late Alma Odessa (Cole) Craig and James Jackson, in Marion Alabama. She departed this life on Monday, June 6, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital, with her family at her side.
“Tina” as she was affectionately called by family and friends accepted Christ and became a member of Coles A.M.E Church in Marion Ala, where she was baptized at an early age. She also attended Lincoln High School in Alabama.
In 1968, she moved to Fort Wayne, IN and joined Friendship Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Reverend P.H. Love.
In 1976, she joined in holy matrimony to Joe Jackson. In the late 80’s Tina joined Jerusalem Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Dr. Samuel Walker, where she was an active member of the choir and Sunday School. She continued her faithfulness as a chartered member of Divine Providence Baptist Church. She loved her church and pastor. She was also a member of the Women’s Sunday School Class. Tina’s last Sunday at church was Mother’s Day Sunday, May 14, 2017.
Tina retired from Saint Anne Nursing Home after working over thirty years. Her favorite hobbies were playing cards and spending time with her family.
Tina leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Joe Jackson; one son: Ralph Cole; three granddaughter, Quameisha Bell, Sincerity Cole and Mynae Cole; one great-granddaughter, Quamera Bell; three step-sons, Joe, Jarvis and Joseph Jackson all of Fort Wayne; one step-daughter, Sonya Jackson of Fort Wayne; four sisters, Georgiann (Larry) Miller, Carolyn (Chester) Jackson-Ware, Conella (Dean) Menefee and Deloris Jackson all of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Bobby Jackson of Fort Wayne and Prother Cole of Marion, Ala; three aunts, Sarah E. Cole, Claire Miller and Lillie Anderson; a special and very close cousin, Mamie Terry; special friends, Corine Pratcher and Johnnie Turner; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two brothers, one grandson and her daughter-in-law, Maggie Cole.
Burial in Coles A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Hwy 5, Marion, Alabama
