A Time to be Born
When life begins, it is like an open book with many blank pages. The pages of this book began to open for Bobby Roddy on April 9, 1960. He was the son of Mr. John H. and Mrs. Rosie Lee Roddy.
A Time to confess
Bobby confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Debaro.
A Time to Love
He was untied in holy Matrimony to Connie Banks Roddy in 1982. To this union three children were added. Sabrina Porter, Corbin Herd, and Christian (Tyquaysha) Bates, along with three grandchildren; Zariyah, DeAries and DeMere.
A Time to Plant
Bobby grew up in Helena Arkansas where he graduated from Central High School. After graduation, he attended the University of Arkansas of Fayetteville. He was employed at Mullinix Packages (Saber) in Fort Wayne, IN. He loved his job and made many good friends. He was employed here until he retied in June of 2019. Bobby loved joking and having fun with family friends.
A Time to Die
Bobby made his transition from the earthly life to eternal peace on Thursday September 12, 2019. Bobby was preceded by his parents Mr. John H. and Rosie Lee Roddy; two sisters Mother Catherine Roddy, Anna Jean Roddy; three brothers, Percy Roddy, John M. Roddy, and John James Roddy.
A Time to Mourn
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 36 years Connie Roddy; children, Sabrina, Corbin and Christian; grandchildren, Zariyah, DeAries, DeMere all of Fort Wayne, IN; sister, Mrs. Rachel (Kenneth) Pickett of Fort Wayne, IN; special niece Chanel Roddy of Little Rock, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
