Catherine Roddy was born April 24, 1949 to Rosie Lee (Wyatt) and John Henry Roddy in Dundee, Mississippi. She departed this life on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Parkview North Hospital.
Catherine accepted Christ at an early age and remained faithful to Christ until her death. She was a faithful member of Total Change Ministry, under the leadership of Pastor Terry Newsome. She was a dutiful member, she served as the Mother of the Church and as an usher. She was instrumental in starting the Praise and Worship team of which she was a part of and enjoyed singing praises to the Lord. She also served as the treasurer of the women's support group of the church.
She was a willing and committed worker. She worked for many years at the Hampton Inn until her health began to fail.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Michael (Demetria) Roddy; one brother, Bobby (Connie) Roddy; one sister, Rachel (Kenneth) Pickett; three grandchildren; special friends, Betty Abrams and Shirley Mack; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John H. and Rosie Lee Roddy; four brothers, Percy Roddy, John M. Roddy, John J. Roddy and Clifton Eubanks; one sister, Anna Jean Roddy.
