Juanita Booker was born May 2, 1949 to Lucy Jane (Wells) and Joe Booker in Uniontown, Alabama. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital.
“Too Sweet” as she was affectionately called by her family and friends attended Perry County Training School and Central High School. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Come As You Are Community Church, under the leadership of Pastor Anthony Payton.
In her spare time, she enjoyed watching game shows, reading, doing crossword puzzles, dancing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was loved dearly and will truly be missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, William (Kasaundra) Booker; four daughters, Roselle Booker, Billie Booker, Beverly Smith and Latoya Booker all of Fort Wayne; two brothers, William (Joyce) Booker of Decatur, GA and Lewis (Willie S.) Booker of Fort Wayne; three sisters, Gracie Booker, Polly Booker and Belle Booker all of Fort Wayne; 22 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death granddaughter, Shaqua L. Booker; parents, Joe and Lucy Jane Booker; and sister, Shirley Lee (Booker) Derrick.
