Lynette Florene Johnson was born on Wednesday, August 31, 1960, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Isaac Thomas and Charlene Jacqueline (Culpher) Johnson.
Lynette accepted Christ, and was baptized by Rev. Sam Shade, Jr. at Pilgrim Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the Sunday school, Young Adult Choir, and participated in many other Ministries and actives. She graduated from Northrup High School, class of 1978, and enrolled in the School of Nursing at IPFW in the fall of 1979. She was employed by CIOCCA Cleaning & Restoration, as a dependable and steadfast work.
“Net”, as she was affectional called, loved being around her family, especially cook-outs and other celebrations. She enjoyed music, watching golf, bike riding and roller skating. She especially enjoyed helping other, and being an unofficial “Taxi” for those who needed transportation or assistance getting around the City.
Lynette was a faith care-giver and companion for her mother. On Monday, June 17, 2019, God called, and Lynette answered, to receive her eternal reward.
Lynette is survived by her mother, Mrs. Charlene J. Johnson; brother, Michael Thomas Johnson of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Harlean (Carl) Falls, God-Sisters, Bethenia (Shell) Freeman and Doris Green both of Fort Wayne, IN; nephews, Carlos P. (Vicki) Falls of Lafayette, IN, Marcos Johnson of Fort Wayne, IN, Michael O. (Mikita) of Indianapolis, IN; good friend, Deborah Key-Hardaway of Covington, Georgia; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas and Florence (Taylor) Johnson, Charles and Carrie Dell (Dixon) Culpher; father, Isaac Thomas Johnson; nephew, Derrick D. Carlisle; sister in-law, Judith “Judy” Ann Micheaux -Johnson and niece, Dr. Chasiti Iketia Falls.
