Peggy Marie "Ms. Peggy" (Kelso) BoydApril 3, 1957 ~ July 12, 2017 (age 60)

Peggy Marie Boyd "Ms. Peggy" was born April 3, 1957 to Lucetta Kelso and Hugh Hardy Sr. in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Peggy passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Peggy accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Pilgrim Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until her health began to fail. She was a member of the Usher Board. She graduated from Northrop High School in 1976. A couple of years later, she met the love of her life Jeffrey P. Boyd. They were united in Holy matrimony on November 16, 1984. They would have celebrated 33 years of marriage this coming November.
Peggy worked for Lincoln Life, GTE/Verizon for 15 years before leaving to pursue her love of taking care of children. She was the owner of Granny's House of Love Daycare. She volunteered with Metro Youth Sports for over 30 years. This volunteer work gained her the nickname of Mrs. Peggy.
Peggy loved to travel especially to Las Vegas and spend time with her family. Even through her fight with cancer; she still managed to be an inspiration to others. She always ended every conversation with love you or FOE (Family Over Everything).
Peggy leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband, Jeff Boyd; her only child, Tolanda (Justin) Mosley; granddaughters, Brya, Ti'anah and Just'Us; great grandson, Tyus all of Fort Wayne; mother, Lucetta Hoskins of Fort Wayne; father, Hugh Hardy, Sr. of Los Angeles, CA; mother-in-law, Earlean Boyd of Fort Wayne; sisters, Rosalind Kelso of Fort Wayne, Patricia (Larry) Solomon, Vicki Hardy and Amanda Hardy all of Los Angeles, CA; brother, Hugh (Young) Hardy, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; sister-in-law, Sharon Boyd; brother-in-law, Richard (Angela) Boyd both of Fort Wayne; special son, Latrell Ware; and a host of god-children, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her grandmother, Cora Kelso; father-in-law, Thomas Boyd; step-father, John Hoskins and brother-in-law, Kenneth Boyd.
