Robert Lewis Carpenter III was born April 4, 1976 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from the union of Robert II and Gwendolyn Carpenter. He departed this life on Monday, May 27, 2019. He accepted Christ at an early age.
He graduated from R. Nelson Snider High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He furthered his education at Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne; where he received his bachelor's degree in General Studies with a concentration in Human Services.
Robert was employed at Lincoln Foods for ten years. He was actively involved in the community. He volunteered as a coach for Metro Youth Sports, Y-Ball and South East Baseball. He enjoyed being an active member of the YMCA. He was proud of becoming an ambassador for the YMCA . He was awarded member of the year in 2015.
Robert had a love for sports that started at a young age. His favorite teams were the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Bucks and Wisconsin Badgers. He was a fan of baseball, football and basketball. With his greatest accomplishment was being a part pf the Snider football team winning the state championship in 1992.
On July 29, 2000, he united in holy matrimony to Kellie R. Dukes. They were blessed with two sons, Robert Lewis Carpenter IV and RaShawn Louis Carpenter.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, two sons, Robert L. Carpenter IV and RaShawn L. Carpenter; parents, Robert and Gwendolyn Carpenter II; mother of his children, Kellie R. Carpenter; brothers, Alexander B. (Charzel) Carpenter and Daniel D. Carpenter; sisters, Gwendolyn N. Carpenter, Tanya (Joseph) Dennis, Khalilah C. Carpenter and Saniyyah Carpenter all of Fort Wayne; brother-in-law, Calvin (Sonya) Dubois of Fort Wayne; sister-in-law, Marilyn Dukes of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
