Vernon Leslie Brown was born January 8, 1956 to Molly "Sadie" (White) Brown and Bobby L. Brown, Sr. in Fort Wayne, Indiana. At the age of 62, he passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 in Hospice.
He attended Elmhurst High School and retired from his lawn service job in Fort Wayne. Vernon confessed his faith in God at an early age. During his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with family with his most special pastime being fishing. He also loved putting puzzles together, playing Bid Whist, singing and enjoying his grandchildren. He was an avid collector of hats, which he wore proudly.
He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Bobby L. Brown, Sr.; son, Jerwuan (Melinda) Taylor Sr.; daughters, Keyonia Taylor and Dimea Brown; brothers, Gregory Brown, Timothy Brown, Andre Weaver and Tracy (Addie) Weaver; sisters, Deborah (TC) Clemons, Brenda Brown, Deena Brooks, Bonita Jackson, and Jackie (Malcolm) Howell; his partner, Saundra Taylor and in-laws, Annett Griffin, Dwight Taylor and Robert Taylor. He was blessed with fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild with two more on the way, along with a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Vernon was preceded in death by his mother, Molly "Sadie" Brown; brother, Bobby L. Brown, Jr.; sister, Gail Y. Brown; brother-in-law, Michael Brooks, Sr.; grandparents Annie Bell, Jordan White and Ella Mae and Vernon Brown.
