Obituary
Alice Fay Travis passed away Sunday April 2, 2023. She was 71 years old. Born September 9, 1951, in Northfield, Mississippi and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Alice was 1 of 16 children. Alice was preceded in death by her parents Esau and Lula Mae Porter, her brothers Melvin and Charles, her sister Dorothy, and her great grandson Jovon. She leaves behind her daughters Nina, Tammy, Sindy, and Kelley; also 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. Funeral service will be held at Community Funeral Care Carmichael Chapel at 831 E. Jefferson Blvd. Fort Wayne, IN 46803. Viewing starts at 3 pm to 4 pm followed by a memorial service 4 pm to 6 pm. Please join the family for a celebration of life at the American Legion at 705 E. Lewis St. Fort Wayne, IN 46802 starting at 6 pm.
