Annette Ann Lockett was born as the middle child of three on December 28, 1954, to the late James Sr. and Adeline (Martin) Irby. She entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June. 1, 2022.
She graduated in 1973 from Snider High School and went on to earn a business degree from Indiana Business College. She was very active doing aerobics, yoga, and even Tae Kwon.
On January 10, 1995, she married her wonderful husband, Lodell “Tony” Lockett who took care of her until she took her last breath.
She was a hard worker and was employed with Lincoln Group, and Wells Fargo Bank, and she later retired from Walmart.
Annette will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, love of God, and her love for her family and friends.
She was survived by her husband of 27 years, Lodell Lockett; three children, Kenya (Zachary) King, Montoya Irby, both of Fort Wayne, and Brenton Lockett of Indianapolis, two stepchildren, Matnisha Riley of Indianapolis, Thomas Givings of New York; eight grandchildren; brothers, Gregory, and James Irby; special sister, Shirley (Schrems) Wade and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Sr., and Adeline Irby.
