Obituary
Charlie James Stroud Jr., (Charles/Punkin) 63 years young of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away at home on Thursday, March 16, 2023. Charles was born to the late Charlie Stroud Sr and Lillie B. (Fields) Williams on November 29, 1959 in Fort Wayne, IN. Charlie labored for many years as a construction worker with Laborers’ International Union 213. Charles is survived by three daughters, LaShawnda Williams and LaTonya Jones of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Dr. NaTosha Gatson of Arizona; one son, Brandon Jones of Fort Wayne, Indiana, 18 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three sisters, Vivian (David) Walton, Roven (Willie) Odom, Annie Brooks, and two brothers, Jerry (Suzanne) Brooks and Courtney (JaLessa) Stroud. Charles leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins to cherish his memory. He also leaves to cherish his memory a special friend Martha (Marty) Link. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charlie James Stroud, Sr., grandparents Eddie and Cleopatra Stroud, Aunt, Earlean Philpot, Uncles Eddie Jr., Calvin, Walter Stroud and General Philpot, niece Shaira Brooks and great granddaughter, Royale Jones. Memorial Service is at 11:00 am Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Kingdom Door Christian Worship Center located at 1004 E Pontiac St, Fort Wayne, IN 46803
