Clarence Smith was born August 3, 1952 to Lewis and Rebecca (Parker) Smith in Uniontown, Alabama. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 2020.
"Red" as he was affectionately called by family and friends grew up in Uniontown, Alabama and relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana to make a better life for himself and his family. He was employed by B.F. Goodrich and retired in 2011 after 43 years of dedicated service.
Red loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching sports.
Clarence leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Minnie Johnson; sons, Clarence Smith, Jr., Keith Smith, Anthony Wilkins, Jeffery Green and Jamic Johnson, Sr.; daughters, Tracina Smith, Patricia Green-Simpson, Rose Johnson and Marsha Johnson; sisters, Polly Smith, Marie (Leo) Walker and Sheila Phillips; 35 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Rebecca Smith; brothers, Freddie Parker, Eddie Parker, Charlie Smith, Robert Smith and Lewis Smith; and one sister, Mary Smith-Prince.
