Darryel Barnett was born December 2, 1954 to Dorothy Jefferson and Henry Williams in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was the third of seven children born to his mother.
Darryel attended Fort Wayne Community Schools. He displayed ab impeccable work ethic early on with his first job as a teenager at Kentucky Fried Chicken. His second job became his lifelong work. He retired from Jim Kelly Automotive in 2018, after forty plus years of service. One of his proudest moments was his employer recognizing his years of service in the local paper. He was known for his love of family and cars. When you saw "Pretty Boy" he was usually leaning and driving a Cadillac.
Darryel was a loving and easy spirit that loved life and family. His passions involved family gatherings, spending time with his children and of course cutting a rug. His most recent trip involved a family cruise with all of his siblings and daughter. He was known for and expected to dance the night away at all family gatherings and events. As a young man, he was known for his imitation of James Brown. His spirit will truly be missed by all.
Darryel made his unexpected transition on Thursday, October 29, 2020, at his residence.
