Debra Ann Elizabeth Moore was born on January 18, 1958 to the late Mary E. Mitchell in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a faithful member of Greater Progressive Baptist Church, where she served as the president of the nurse's board. While on her Christian journey, Debra blessed as many as she could through prayer, scripture, leading by example and often encouraging others to "Get Their House in Order."
While Debra spent most of her time serving the Lord and nurturing her family, she dedicated 30 years to Fort Wayne State Developmental Center. Upon completion of state service, she continued her career and passion for caring for others until her retirement from Lutheran Homes in 2019.
Debra was known for her warm heat, love for the Lord, family, fellowship, sense of fashion, and inviting spirit. Debra's infectious smile and witty sense of humor cannot be replaced. Her love for shopping, cooking, and baking her specialty pound cakes will be immensely missed.
Debra departed this life on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at the age of 62.
