The Life’s Journey Of
Larry James Cobb was born on March 5, 1956, to Dorothy M. (Rouse) Hughes and James T. Cobb in Macon, Georgia.
He was a graduate of Fort Wayne Community Schools and served his county in the U.S. Army for 10 years. Larry also worked at Omni Source for 14 years as a skilled machine operator. Larry loved the Lord. His faith never wavered. He tried to live by being an example of showing love to others. Larry always was open to share his wisdom and knowledge.
He was a workaholic, loved to fish, play card games and always to hear some old school music. He could not get enough of hanging out with his grandchildren. He enjoyed being a grandpa! His children were his pride and joy. All fellowship events were special to him - just being able to be in the mist with his family and friends meant the world to him. The love he had for his mom was untouchable.
Larry departed this life on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. He will not be forgotten, because he will forever be in our hearts.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mom, Dorothy Hughes; children, Joshua Cobb, Bula Surry and Barbara Cobb-Nelson (Omar) Nelson;, Omar Jr., Colin, Naomi and Westley; siblings, Selina Cox, John Hughes, Jerome Cobb, Melvin Cobb and Kimothy Cobb; special friend, Felicha Rorer; and a host of other family and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his dad, James T. Cobb.
