Lenetha Davis was born July 10, 1957 to Ancie M. (Shannon) and Elijah Davis, Sr. in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She departed this life on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Parkview Hospital with her family and friends at her side.
Lenetha attended Wayne and Snider High Schools. She confessed Christ as a young adult and faithfully attended bible studies. She was blessed with two sons, Adrian and Robert. She was a mother figure to many, especially, Marcus Laruex, whom she considered her son. She had four "J's" in her life, her granddaughters, Jade, Janay, Janna and Jayla whom she adored.
Lenetha was a great cook. Our family favorite was her macaroni and cheese. She also catered for family and friends. She was a giver who shared to her neighborhood. She helped with their yard work and gave them food when needed. She loved the children of the neighborhood. She hosted a Halloween celebration, her favorite time of the year, for her granddaughters and the neighborhood children.
Lenetha "oh my goodness" loved animals. She loved all dogs, especially he neighbor's dog Buddy. She was the great animal whisperer. She told her sisters how to raise their dogs! She would often help her mother at the church whether it be planting flowers at Light of the World Christian Church or helping with Christmas decorations at Pilgrim Baptist Church.
Lenetha leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Adrian Davis of Cincinnati, OH and Robert (LaTisha) Davis of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Jade Davis, Janay Davis, Jaana Davis and Jayla Davis all of Fort Wayne; mother, Ancie Davis of Fort Wayne; three brothers, Elijah (Joyce) Davis, Jr., Alvin (Tracy) Davis both of Fort Wayne and Charles (Brenda) Davis of Wichita, KS; three sisters, Larine (Jessie) Swain, Sharon Davis and Linda Davis all of Fort Wayne; special son, Marcus Laruex of Fort Wayne; two aunts, one uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
