Mary Ann (Lee) Hatch was born May 30, 1924 to Mary Emma (Crews) and Jimmy Lee in Marion, Alabama. She departed this life on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Golden Years Homestead.
She accepted Christ at an early age at Greenleaf Baptist Church. She attended and graduated from Lincoln High School in Marion, Alabama. After graduating high school she relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana. She joined Pilgrim Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Sam Shade.
Mary was united in holy matrimony to Freddie Lee Hatch on June 15, 1957. They celebrated 62 years of marriage this past June. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt and friend. She was employed by Fort Wayne State Developmental Center and retired after 30 years of dedicated service.
Mary was the first lady of Church of Christ Outreach Temple, under the leadership of her husband. She was a woman of great faith. She was a Missionary and loved serving wherever she was needed. In her spare time she enjoyed going fishing, bowling, singing and cooking. She was loved dearly and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband, Rev. Freddie Lee Hatch; sons, Jimmy Hatch and Michael Oliver; caregiver and niece, Dondra Campbell; nephew, Vernon Lee; nieces, Trina Lee-Bates, Billie Townes and Kathy Burnett; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Mary Emma Lee; brothers, Horace Lee and William Lee.
Mary will be laid to rest in Lindenwood Cemetery
