Melvin Wortham Jr.

Melvin “Bo” Keith Wortham Jr. departed this life at Lutheran Hospital on March 17, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.

Melvin was born to his parents Deborah and Melvin Wortham, Sr. on January 28, 1984, in Fort Wayne, IN. Melvin had the biggest heart; he loved his family and friends and no one was a stranger. Melvin called mom and dad daily, there was hardly a day go by Melvin did not call. He always talked about his granny, his kids and his work. But at the end of his conversations Melvin would always say, “I LOVE YOU MOM, I LOVE YOU DAD!”

Melvin worked at Berne Apparel in Ossian for nearly 3 years.

Melvin leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Deborah and Melvin Wortham, Sr. of Fort Wayne, IN. A sister Daisy (Vaughndell) of Fort Wayne, IN. 4 Children, Malik, Melvin, Mekhi, and Makenzie all of Fort Wayne, IN., A special companion, Chaquasha, and an unborn child of Fort Wayne, IN., 3 aunts, Joyce Spence of Fort Wayne, IN., Christine Henderson of Fort Wayne, IN., Brenda Coach of Fort Wayne, IN., 2 uncles, Travis Wortham of Fort Wayne, IN. and Robert Henderson (Elizabeth) of Selma, Alabama, a host of 1st cousins, family and friends.

Melvin was preceded in death by his uncle Hiram, his loving granny, a special auntie (Celestine), and a special 1st cousin (Natoyia).
