Nancy was born in Dora, AL to Katie Lewis and Benjamin Macon Sr. She moved to Fort Wayne as a young adult. Nancy accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church for 50 years. Nancy was the last surviving sibling out of 10 children. She never lost her faith and continuously prayed for her church family as well.
Nancy worked in retail for over 40 years and retired from Marshall Field’s Department Store in 2006. Nancy studied Special Education at St. Francis College. She enjoyed upholstering furniture and attending church events.
She is survived by her husband, Elliott Ferguson Sr. They were married for 54 years. She also leaves behind 4 children. Kent Ferguson, Elliott Ferguson Jr., Tei Ferguson (Jessie) and Sarah Holmes (Steven).
Nancy has 4 grand children and 3 great grand children. She also has a host of nieces and nephews that she loved as her own.
