Nija K Moore was born on April 1, 1973 at St. Joe Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN to Estella Moore of Uniontown, AL and Larry Joseph Williams of Gallatin, TN.
Nija attended Harding High School where she graduated in 1992. She pursued a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant, which she excelled at and discovered her passion of helping and caring for others. She was a very warm and welcoming person that invited everyone in need to her home with open arms. Through her abundant love she developed the moniker “Mommy” to all that came to know and love her. Her home was a safe haven for her children and all of their friends. Throughout her life she was devoted mother, wife, grandmother, partner, friend, and confidant,
She accepted Christ at a young age and grew up in church, She attended Grace Lutheran Church where she was an active member and attended every Sunday. She participated in many church fundraisers, was a communal steward, and cleaned the church on many occasions.
She developed MS at a young age but, did not let the diagnosis hold her back from her potential. She found her job as a medical coder gave her a feeling of importance, challenged her, and helped her remember what it meant to help others.
Nija believed in living life to be happy and fearless. Anyone who came to know her over the last few years knew she was LIT! She was the life of the party!
Mommy passed away suddenly at home on March 14, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents Estella & Aster Wilson JR, her Grandparents Ollie &Arthur Moore, her siblings Lauren Wilson & Aster Wilson III, a close cousin, Wanda Renaye Moore, and a close friend, Maxine Hatch. She has left to cherish her memory her man, companion, partner, and best friend of over 7 years Cleveland Burgess, daughters Rudaeja Moore, Niayja Guy, Andraea Guy, step-son Cleveland Burgess JR, grandchildren Amor, Laurenzo, Ayden, Bentley, Jaylin, Nahtashia, Zion, Nyla, Kyrie, Charlie, and Estella. She had a host of nieces and nephews that loved her as well.
