RAYMOND LEE WASHINGTON SR., 72, was born to the late Willie James Washington, Sr., and Ethel Mae Chalk Washington. He transitioned from earth to glory on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at home under the care of Parkview Hospice. He attended Rosenwald High School in Osceola, AR. He went into the Marines in 1968 and retired from B.F. Goodrich in 1994. He was a Vietnam Veteran and retired after serving 20 years in the military. He was a member of Come As You Are Community Church where he served as a Deacon.
Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Annette Washington: son, Raymond L. Washington Jr. of Fort Wayne; daughters, Anchelle (Dr. Georj) of Atlanta, Ga, Dr. Tiffaney (Michael Sr.) of Atlanta, Ga, Timeka of Fort Wayne, Tracee (Cortez) of Fort Wayne; stepsons, Kortney Odom, Kedarius Greer all of Fort Wayne; stepdaughters Ke’Rayla, Keondra Starks, Kenyetta Starks all of Fort Wayne. Grandchildren: Miles, Georj, Jazmyn, Kristin, Brianna, Macaiyla, Michael Jr., Robert, MeKarrus, Aschlee, Raymond, Amir, Giannis, Rehanna, Javareon, Jeremiah, Justyce, Londynn, Landynn, Kamari, Julian, Juwelz all of Fort Wayne; 9 great-grandchildren: brothers, Matthew Lee (Rosie) of Elkhart, Ronald (Pat), Donald (Lena) of Rochester, NY, Guy (Victoria), Vincent (Gweneth) of Milwaukee, WI, Shirley of Milwaukee, Janice of Milwaukee, Phyllis, of Milwaukee, WI; sisters, Margaret (George) Lane of Newport News, VA, Erma (James) Chapman, Mary Maydwell, Dorothy Faye of Tampa; only surviving aunt Maxine Chalk of St. Louis, Mo; special sister Joyce Ann Caldwell, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
