Richard Shaw, Jr.

Richard D. Shaw, Jr. passed away at his residence on April 12, 2023. He was born December 20, 1941, the son of Richard and Elizabeth Shaw in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Richard was a resident of Muncie, Indiana, and a veteran of the United States Army. He was affiliated with several churches in the community. Richard had several jobs most recently at Ontario and Duffy Tool and Die. Richard loved to spend time with his grandchildren, children, his family and his friends. He loved to have fun, play cards and DJ. Richard loved to dress well; wearing suits and ties (Dobs) and his Stacey Adams.

Richard leaves to cherish his memory; his children: one daughter: Yanika (Richard) Hazzard Johnson of Muncie, IN; one son: Kevin (Charli) Shaw of Indianapolis, IN; one stepson: Jerron Norris; eight grandchildren: Elijah, Mary and Richard Johnson of Muncie, IN, Danielle Shaw, Richard Shaw III and Riley Shaw of Atlanta, GA, Kathrynne and Kevin Shaw, Jr of Indianapolis, IN; three great grandchildren: Myanika and Michael Murphy and Kevin Shaw III; four sisters: Debra Shaw Bradley, Stella (Reneau) Simpson, Bette (Pastor Wade) Sloss, Mary (William) Hammond; two brothers: Donald (Marilynn) Shaw and Dante (Nina) Shaw; and several nieces; nephews; and cousins.

Richard is preceded in death by his father and mother: Richard and Elizabeth Shaw; sons: Anthony Hazzard and Lamonte Shaw; brothers: Dorris Shaw and Lonnell Shaw; sisters: Shirley McNeil and Imogene Jackson.
