On August 23, 1964 an Angel was born to the late Dora Ann and David James Easley Sr. Teri Ann Easley was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Raised and reared in the Fort Wayne area, Teri entered the world both curious, adventurous, and full of wonder.
“Fat Momma”, as she was affectionately called by her Aunts and Uncles, was reared in a house of love. As a young child she was blessed to be surrounded not only by her beloved parents but she was also raised around her loving grandmother, her aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other family that showered her with the gift of love.
After graduating from Northrop High School, Teri went to Indiana Business College and received her Business Associates Degree.
Never had the world seen a woman so happy to witness the life of her pride and joy, the birth of her daughter, Dora. Dora brought the spirit of true happiness to Teri’s life as she enjoyed serving, loving and being known as Dora’s mom…until her last days of life.
As witnessed throughout her life, Teri had many different types of families and communities of which she was a part of families. Of course, there was her biological family and had many longtime friends. In addition, Teri also had another family that was near and dear to her heart. That other was none other than her daycare “Teri’s Treasures”. She loved every baby that came across her door. She also cherished her days of playing softball.
On Saturday, November 6, 2021, Teri Ann Easley returned to the creator of Heavens and the Earth. Loved ones that cleared the path for Teri includes her Beloved mother, Dora Ann Easley; her father, David James Easley Sr.; sister, Twana Easley; maternal grandparents, Clarence Sr. and Savannah A. Hicks; paternal grandmother, Irene Easley; aunts, Algerine Hill, Joyce Easley, Mary Bradford and Catherine Guy.
Teri leaves to cherish her memories, her only daughter, Dora Ann Carlisle of Fort Wayne, IN; one brother, David Easley Jr. of Fort Wayne, IN; one sister, Tami Lawrence of Fort Wayne, IN; two aunts, Ernestine Hicks and Deborah (Cleophas) Walker; three uncles, Rev. Clarence (Anne) Hicks Jr., Ernest Hicks and Shawn Hicks of Fort Wayne, IN.
Throughout Teri’s entire battle, she remained faithful. She entered the world as a Angel and left the world an even greater Angel. Teri fought for her life until the very end. Even when others felt like there was no hope… Teri kept the faith and continued to fight…
