Terry Gatson

Terry Gatson (Fudge) was born on May 22, 1953 to the union of the late Thomas Gatson Sr. and Roberta (Noel) Gatson in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He departed this earth at the age of 69 on Friday April 21, 2023.

He accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Pilgrim Baptist Church. He graduated from South Side High School on June 19, 1971. He attended Vincennes University and majored in Engineering. He was previously employed with ITT as a Draftsman Engineer and worked part time as a Janitorial Supervisor at the YMCA. In his earlier years he was also employed at International Harvester.

In 1974, Terry had his first daughter LaToya Howard, and in 1977 his second daughter Shayla Howard. Years later, Terry met Marie Underwood and they entered into holy matrimony on June 27, 1981. In this union they birthed two children Taia (Thompson) and Jebraun Gatson. Terry was someone that enjoyed life. He loved to travel, play basketball, draw, and spend time with his family

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughters, LaToya Howard, Shayla Howard and Taia Thompson, a son, Jebraun Gatson all of Fort Wayne, IN; granddaughters, Niyah Howard, Chardae Craig. Ta'Shya Benson and Ayanna Benson; one great grandson, Nasir Howard; four brothers, Thomas (Delois) Gatson, Jr., Derrell Gatson, and Christopher Gatson of Fort Wayne, IN and Lavarrel Gatson of Illinois; four sisters, Clara Gatson, Deloris Perry, Angela Patterson of Fort Wayne, IN, Robin Miesen of Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Waiting for Terry at heaven's gates is his wife, Marie Gatson; father, Thomas Gatson Sr; mother, Roberta Noel Gatson; three brothers Larry Gatson, James Gatson, and Rodney "Scottie" Ferrell, and sister, Pamela Ferrell.
